BlueTimbre is proud and excited to announce our first ever Music Workshop session. The workshop will be conducted by Rotem Sivan! Rotem is currently in India working with Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music (SAM) as their guitar faculty for Spring 2017.

The topic of the workshop is “Music as a Language” and will appeal to all musicians and music enthusiasts.

Artist Profile

Described by Downbeat Magazine as a ‘remarkable talent’, Rotem Sivan is an exceptionally gifted and talented guitarist of the 21st century.

Born in Jerusalem, Rotem completed his studies in classical composition as well as in Jazz Performance at The New School for Jazz & Contemporary Music. For over 8 years Rotem has been leading his trio that has toured extensively around the world and performed in countries from France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Poland and many more.

He regularly appears at New York’s top venues like Birdland, The Jazz Gallery, The Bar Next Door and The Blue Note. In addition to this, he has performed in a number of festivals including the Marseille Jazz Festival and Montreux Jazz Festival. He has performed with Peter Bernstein, Ari Hoenig, Ben Street and Ferenc Nemeth.

Besides performing, Rotem has a sincere passion for sharing his knowledge and talent. He has conducted a number of master classes in various colleges and universities across the world. He has also taught private lessons in New York as well as online.

Rotem has also recorded three albums in the past three years, two of which received a 4.5 stars rating in Downbeat Magazine. A new album is scheduled for release in early 2017.
